CATL is the leading battery manufacturer in the world, and has pioneered many innovations in batteries. Now that they have a successful sodium ion battery in production and use in entry level EV's, they state that their research is concentrating on lithium-air batteries. With a theoretical limit of 12,000 Wh/Kg, success would be a game changer.
