Trump had challenged election results in something like 6 or 7 states. Pending lawsuits. You have to have alternate electors from your party legally in place in case the lawsuits were successful. If the lawsuits were successful and the party didn't have alternate electors in place at that time the party with the listed electors wins.

Actually he didn't. Not counting recounts he filed - IIRC - over 60 court cases and ever one was thrown out for lack of evidence.

So he challenged in court, and lost.

"Trump's people" don't get to file contingent electors, the electors are submitted not by the party but by the Executive Authority of the State.

BTW - if you attempt to go back to Hawaii in 1960. The contingent electors were submitted under court order and by the Executive Authority of the state. Not the party.

Smith's political witch hunt against Trump on behalf of Joe Biden was shut down by the voters. Now, Jack Smith gets to testify under oath and the ballots in Fulton co GA will eventually be examined by the DOJ. This is the will of the American People.

I can find not one word, phrase, sentence or clause in the Constitution and am unaware of any law existing anywhere that disallows ANY citizen from questioning the outcome of an election.

If we are forbidden to question the results, to investigate the results, to require proof of integrity in the process, how can the American people ever trust that an election is fair, honest, and accurate as we can make it? What stops unscrupulous people from rigging any election in their favor?

And that is just the top of the iceberg of the lawfare the Biden administration used to corrupt and manipulate the process and why that was the major constitutional crisis this nation has endured since the southern states seceded from the Union.

Jack Smith at the very least should be disbarred and banned from any position of public trust. But so should all those who hired him and aided and abetted him in one of the most corrupt chapters of American government.

Trump had every right to protest the election that he believed was stolen, and with what is happening in Fulton county, he might have been partially correct.

Trump was as guilty for protesting the 2020 election as Hillary was for protesting the 2016 election.

Well....Hillary didn't start complaining about the results of the election until months later when the whole Russian interference stuff came out. She lost, conceded, and then went hiking. Trump could have whined and brayed about a "stolen" election to his hearts content....if only it had stopped with him being unable to shut his pie holr.

But no, he had to call Raffensperger up and ask to find "just 20,000 votes, Brad". And then whipped up a riot at the Capitol on 1/6/2025 to get the results of the election overturned.
