The Times reported that lawmakers were told Russia is interfering in the 2020 election specifically to get Trump reelected. The president is reportedly concerned that Democrats will use that information against him as the campaign season kicks into high gear.

Trump replaced Joseph Maguire as his acting director of national intelligence with another acting director of national intelligence after Maguire enraged Trump by authorizing a congressional briefing on Russia's election interference, according to the Washington Post and The New York Times.

The report was made to the House Intelligence Committee. Adam Schiff chairs the House Intelligence Committee. It would appear that a lot of people in the Trump government do not like Trump. Nearly every day the turnover rate in the Trump government scores another record.

The "turnover"rate is called, ""DRAINING THE SWAMP.''

“Russia, if you’re listening, I hope you’re able to find the 30,000 emails that are missing,” Trump said in July 2016 referring to emails Mrs. Clinton had deleted from the private account she had used when she was secretary of state. “I think you will probably be rewarded mightily by our press.”

July 16, 2018, in Helsinki, Trump, in a stunning rebuke of the US intelligence community, declined to endorse the US government's assessment that Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election, saying he doesn't "see any reason why" Russia would be responsible. Instead, Trump -- standing alongside Russian President Vladimir Putin -- touted Putin's vigorous denial.

"I have great confidence in my intelligence people, but I will tell you that President Putin was extremely strong and powerful in his denial today," Trump said during a joint news conference

Following Trump's Senate impeachment trial, the U.S. government is in chaos. Trump is pardoning felons while firing a White House staffer nearly every other day. Employment status in the Trump government is a daily challenge.

If you are Vladimir Putin, what is not to like?

The Times reports, "Intelligence officials warned House lawmakers last week that Russia was interfering in the 2020 campaign to try to get President Trump re-elected, five people familiar with the matter said, a disclosure to Congress that angered Mr. Trump, who complained that Democrats would use it against him.

"The day after the Feb. 13 briefing to lawmakers, Mr. Trump berated Joseph Maguire, the outgoing acting director of national intelligence, for allowing it to take place, people familiar with the exchange said. Mr. Trump cited the presence in the briefing of Representative Adam B. Schiff, the California Democrat who led the impeachment proceedings against him, as a particular irritant."

Apparently, Trump wanted to keep secret from the American people and its representatives the fact that Putin wants to help him get elected just as Putin did in 2016.

Some intelligence officials wanted the briefer to soften the message. However, "that intelligence official, Shelby Pierson, an aide to Mr. Maguire who has a reputation of delivering intelligence in somewhat blunt terms. The president announced on Wednesday that he was replacing Mr. Maguire with Richard Grenell, the ambassador to Germany and long an aggressively vocal Trump supporter," according to the Times.

Which, of course, is true to form. Replace an experienced professional with a political hack, a sycophant who thinks like Trump and will always do as he is told. This, of course, weakens the American government a little bit more.

That is another thing Putin likes about Trump.

I'm always amazed at how successful the Power of Suggestion is on the left. After being aware of it for the last couple of decades, it actually still works. It's no wonder why the Democrat leaders (and their MSM) use it so often.

You tell us that Russians hacked the election, but forget who the leader of the country was when it happened. Hint: the same guy that was in charge when the DNC computers got hacked. But why are the Democrats brainwashing their sheep so early in the game? Because they know they're going to lose, and certainly won't be able to blame themselves for the loss. They do this every time they lose.

You see, if the Democrats were ever honest with their constituents, and admitted that conservatism is alive and well, it would knock the wind out of your sails. So to keep you coming back to the polls, they tell you that you actually won--it's just the Republicans found a way to cheat you out of your win. :itsok:

Ok, if russia is indeed meddling in the elections again, it should serve as proof that they are no friend of trump. Sure, maybe they want him there rather than any of the alternatives, but, their meddling isnt for trumps benefit, its for their own.

Russian meddling in the 2016 election cost trump a 2 year investigation, and likely all kinds of headache, not to mention suspicion cast on everything he does, and russia wants to meddle again? This is the last thing trump wants, as it will simply overshadow him even more.

They really believe that Trump, in this fantastic economy, actually needs Russia to help him win. The sorry bunch of losers can't come up with a candidate that wouldn't be an embarrassment to the party, and they think that Trump needs any help from Russia?

You mean condemn, and I agree, he should. Will he? I would hope he and his advisors are smart enough to recognize this is not good for trump, and make a statement.

Russia Backs Trump’s Re-election, and He Fears Democrats Will Exploit Its Support

WASHINGTON — Intelligence officials warned House lawmakers last week that Russia was interfering in the 2020 campaign to try to get President Trump re-elected, five people familiar with the matter said, a disclosure to Congress that angered Mr. Trump, who complained that Democrats would use it against him.

The day after the Feb. 13 briefing to lawmakers, Mr. Trump berated Joseph Maguire, the outgoing acting director of national intelligence, for allowing it to take place, people familiar with the exchange said. Mr. Trump cited the presence in the briefing of Representative Adam B. Schiff, the California Democrat who led the impeachment proceedings against him, as a particular irritant.

During the briefing to the House Intelligence Committee, Mr. Trump’s allies challenged the conclusions, arguing that he has been tough on Russia and strengthened European security. Some intelligence officials viewed the briefing as a tactical error, saying that had the official who delivered the conclusion spoken less pointedly or left it out, they would have avoided angering the Republicans.

That intelligence official, Shelby Pierson, is an aide to Mr. Maguire who has a reputation of delivering intelligence in somewhat blunt terms. The president announced on Wednesday that he was replacing Mr. Maguire with Richard Grenell, the ambassador to Germany and long an aggressively vocal Trump supporter.

Trump Soured On Maguire After Staff Told Congress Russia Is Interfering On His Behalf
Trump Soured On Maguire After Staff Told Congress Russia Is Interfering On His Behalf

Acting Director of National Intelligence Joseph Maguire was still considered a frontrunner to take the post in a permanent capacity until last week — when President Donald Trump found out that Maguire’s staff had briefed House lawmakers that Russia is interfering in the 2020 election on Trump’s behalf.

According to reporting from the New York Times and Washington Post, Trump was furious in particular that Maguire aide Shelby Pierson conveyed the information to Adam Schiff, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee. Trump reportedly fretted that the Democrats would use it against him.

Members of both parties on the committee were in attendance at the briefing a week ago, and Trump’s allies argued with the conclusions Pierson presented, insisting that Trump has gotten tougher on Russia.

The President dressed down Maguire after the briefing, which reportedly led to his shift in favor to name U.S. Ambassador to Germany, Richard Grenell, the acting DNI. Grenell is an avid Trump supporter who has downplayed the threat Russia poses to U.S. elections.

President Trump erupted at his acting director of national intelligence, Joseph Maguire, in the Oval Office last week over what he perceived as disloyalty by Maguire’s staff, which ruined Maguire’s chances of becoming the permanent intelligence chief, according to people familiar with the matter.

Trump announced on Wednesday that he was replacing Maguire with a vocal loyalist, Richard Grenell, who is the U.S. ambassador to Germany.

Maguire had been considered a leading candidate to be nominated for the post of DNI, White House aides had said. But Trump’s opinion shifted last week when he heard from a GOP ally that the intelligence official in charge of election security, who works for Maguire, gave a classified briefing last Thursday to the House Intelligence Committee on 2020 election security.

Russians Rig Gallup For Trump!

CHANGE: Highest number of independents to date approve of Trump.

Plus: “According to Gallup, voters are also more confident about the state of the nation than at any other point in the last 15 years.”

Putin caused Dems to Impeach Trump and Fail to Remove him:

The results show that the president's approval has only climbed since his impeachment trial, jumping approximately 5 points.

"Americans' generally positive and improved perceptions of the state of the nation are also likely a contributing factor. These factors may be driving Republicans' and independents' ratings of Trump higher, but not Democrats," the survey said.

According to Gallup, voters are also more confident about the state of the nation than at any other point in the last 15 years.

Not that Russian and Rasmussen both start with R as does Rigged!

The results echo a recent Rasmussen poll that found 46% of the public believes the United States is headed in the "right direction," noting that confidence in the country's direction has nearly doubled since 2016.

Putin has mesmerized America in order to re-elect Trump and cleverly sown division among Crazy Bernie, PochaHonkey, Smarmy Buttigeig and caused Biden to not be know where the hell he is

The Gallup data also revealed a growing number of the public identifying as Republican and a marginal decrease in those who identified as Democrats and independents.

Bullshit. Trump is embarassing America.

Grennell is on the record as saying Russian interference is no big deal. Trump has said he has no problem with it. So Trump fired Maguire to keep him from warning Democrats that the Russians were attacking their primaries and helping Trump.

Instead of being concerned about election interference, Trump is afraid to tell Americans because it will de-legitimize his election. Instead of protecting America, he is protecting himself. That's what's embarassing.

Every day, in every way, Trump betrays the nation's interests in favour of his own. People know what is happening this time. Last time it was hidden.

And I care why ?

Is the left really this stupid ?

You are the stupid one. No country has gone to this extent.

"The Russians have been preparing — and experimenting — for the 2020 election , undeterred by American efforts to thwart them but aware that they needed a new playbook of as-yet-undetectable methods, United States officials said.

They have made more creative use of Facebook and other social media. Rather than impersonating Americans as they did in 2016, Russian operatives are working to get Americans to repeat disinformation, the officials said. That strategy gets around social media companies’ rules that prohibit “inauthentic speech.”

And the Russians are working from servers in the United States, rather than abroad, knowing that American intelligence agencies are prohibited from operating inside the country. (The F.B.I. and the Department of Homeland Security are allowed to do so with aid from the intelligence agencies.) "

Giuliani got his information in Ukraine from Russia backed politicians. Clearly he is the substitute for WikiLeaks.
