home defense

You need to suppress those blasters less you suffer hearing loss upon use inside.

Nah, I use the SCAR 16 mags. Steel mags so sunlight won't kill them.

Those critters are terrifying!

Keep in mind that in home defense, you want to dissuade or stop the intruder, not blow holes through the brick in the house and kill your neighbor across the street.

That is why a scatter gun loaded with bird or vermin shot is very popular. Many people load 1-2 shells of heavy bird shot in first to dissuade/repel the intrusion, the 00 buck after that for the kill, if necessary.

Helps a lot if they try to come after you for a homicide if you can show you at least tried to not kill him.
In other words, you do not want to be blasting through an intruder at your front door with your 10mm? LOL!

LOL, they are polymer, not kraft cheese
our military went to polymer 8+ years ago, light and tough

your scar mag is also only 20 rounds

Exactly. Every time someone shows me their AR as their home defense weapon, I want to slap them.

My tactical weapon is a Mossberg Shockwave.

The best part about it is, because of the pistol grip, it falls into a NFA loophole and is not considered a shotgun. It is therefore allowed a 14-inch barrel.

There is no better home defense tool.

How many times have you shot it?

When I was on active duty and took a concealed carry course, the instructor was very clear.

"Make sure the intruder is dead so he can't tell his side of the story."

My wife and I have shot it with about 20 birdshot, and 20 buckshot.

I bought the 20 gauge so my wife could handle it.

It comes in a 12 gauge which I am thinking about for myself.

Try again. The SCAR mag is 30 rounds, and steel. Polymer mags are PLASTIC. UV light from the Sun breaks them down. Takes 15 to 20 years, but they eventually fail.

A. those rail mounted tac lights make great bullseyes for anyone looking for you

B. you're gonna overpenetrate like a mutherfucker. I hope there aren't any people you care about in the next room or two.

C. long guns are terrible for indoor situations. They make it hard to maneuver.

Stop playing Rambo and go get a shorty and some medium bird shot if you seriously wanna defend your home.

LOL, well if it's dark how do you know who to shoot? yeah, the military never uses those

5.56 is the standard round, it's not a .50, relax

never said I was using it indoors, that is what the 9mm hollows are for

The colt is for long range shots before they get close to me

my mistake, for the 5.56 yes, for the 7.62 no

co-pilot must have got confused

The military, by and large, is not engaged in home defense.

And if you are outdoors, you are no longer engaged in it either.
