Hiding Hillary ...

Do you mean Trey Gowdy, the representative who shows so little respect for democracy that he contacts foreign nations assuming some sort of power the Constitution never gave him, you mean that guy? He should be accused of treason and the right praises him, how appropriate. Curious that the right wing and the republicans so hate democracy they now kowtow to Israel's right wing. Birds of a feather....

Sigh, the left wing has once again created a paradigm which isn't true and it certainly takes hold.

A letter was written and signed, that much is true. The letter was never sent to anyone, that is also true. IF it had been sent then MAYBE you would be on to something, but it was not and you are, innocently I believe, repeating a left wing lie. Or worse, your are not even repeating the lie you are inferring the lie.

Here is an article to explain to you that the letter was written more for Obama then for Iran. If only Obama was more worried about working with Congress then around them the letter would not been required. Isn't knowing the truth refreshing?

Before U.S. Senator Tom Cotton (R., Ark.) and 46 of his GOP colleagues are frog-marched to the gallows and hanged for treason, one vital point of confusion must be cleared up. Say what you will about the Republicans’ open letter “to the leaders of the Islamic Republic of Iran.” The Cotton/GOP letter regarding Tehran’s atom-bomb talks with Obama was not sent to the ayatollahs. Had Cotton & Co. actually delivered their communiqué to Iran’s mullahs — perhaps via a Swiss diplomatic pouch or something even more cloak and dagger — their critics would be on less swampy ground in calling them “traitors,” as the New York Daily News screamed.

As Americans debate the wisdom of this GOP gambit, it should not surprise Obama that nearly half the Senate went around him to express its views on what White House chief of staff Dennis McDonough calls a “non-binding arrangement” with Iran. (This sounds like handcuffs without locks.) After all, Obama very openly craves an accord with Iran that goes around Congress. Thus, Obama is getting precisely what he deserves, given his overbearing, anti-Constitutional lust for common cause with the ayatollahs — to the exclusion of America’s duly elected representatives. Obama is desperate for a deal with this radical-Islamic, terrorist-sponsoring, IED-detonating regime. And he wants Republicans to shut up about it.

My "What?" was not from surprise, but of incredulity. Hadn't heard that particular Leftie bon-mot for awhile, and was surprised someone actually dragged it back out.

so they didn't "send" the letter to iran they just "address" the open letter to iran which had a message which iran received as intended...so what's the difference?

It is just a normal left wing tactic to deflect the subject to something they think they can win. Mrs. Clinton is a losing proposition so expect the left to try and talk about anything else. Even to the point of saying things that just didn't happen.

A Slate column by Fred Kaplan last Tuesday bore this sub-headline: “The letter 47 Republican senators sent to Iran is one of the most plainly stupid things a group of senators has ever done.”

bullet_blue.gif
According to the Washington Post, “47 Republican senators sent a letter to leaders in Tehran saying that any agreement reached between Obama and Iran without the approval of Congress could be revoked by the next president.”

A citizen petition posted on the White House’s public-participation webpage demands that the federal government “File charges of treason against the 47 Senators who sent letter to Iran.”

No less a conservative luminary than Michael Reagan wrote in last Thursday’s Newsmax.com: “Those 47 Republican senators didn’t need to send a public letter to Tehran to remind the Iranians how America’s separation of powers works.”

The letter was an expression of fact meant as much, if not more, for Obama then Iran. Do you think that our reps are not allowed to voice their opinions and concerns? No, one negotiated with a foreign power. No one interfered with Obama's negotiations. What the letter did was make it known that the POTUS did not have a completely free hand, we still have the COTUS.

depends how you define SEND...

a 21st century communication FROM 47 Republicans openly addressed TO Iran

Amateur Hour

The letter 47 Republican senators sent to Iran is one of the most plainly stupid things a group of senators has ever done.

It is a useful thing when a political party reveals itself as utterly unsuited for national leadership. This may be the one redeeming feature of Monday’s letter to the Iranian government signed by 47 (or, to put it another way, all but seven) Senate Republicans.

Who cares? It's not treason, or anything of the sort.

Oh just STFU with crap like that.

Are you serious? Let’s be clear, that personal email was probably far more secure than her state.gov email account. The State Department’s email system has been compromised for months. It’s highly likely that it’s been compromised since forever: remember, during her tenure, Wikileaks released the State Department’s classified communications.

A better question is: why would she use the State Department’s email system to conduct official business? In fact, if it’s demonstrably insecure, does she not have a responsibility not to use it? It’s probably the case that if Hillary Clinton was focusing solely on security, using her personal email with 2 Factor Authentication was probably way more secure than using the honeypot mess of IT that is the State Department’s email servers.

But more importantly, let’s talk about records. As the former director of Sunlight Labs at the Sunlight Foundation, it’s a cause I care about. That’s the important bit. I don’t believe Hillary Clinton was actively working to hide her communication from the public. I think she was looking for the easiest way to do her job. The one thing you have to understand about people in public service is people down to the lowest levels of public service understand open records laws, and they all know one thing: if you don’t want something on the record, don’t use email. Pick up the phone. Hillary Clinton knows that, too.

Hillary Clinton was trying to use what she wanted to use in order to do her job.

He should be accused of treason

You should post the definition of treason.
Maybe you'd say fewer stupid things?

Why are you surprised about them pulling something out of the past?

Just look at their candidates.

Hillary is a consummate liar. It's obvious the missing emails would bury her.
