You seem to be hung up on this "disagree" notion. ( which makes no sense) Agree/disagree has nothing to do with it.
Sure we have free speech, but if someone exercises his free speech and says tomorrow a certain building will be bombed, you think police will ignore that, and let him peacefully walk away ?
If someone exercises his free speech and says something that only the violator of a crime would be likely to know, that he shouldn't be investigated, if not arrested with probable cause ?
What might be less credible than a liberal talking about law enforcement ? Perhaps nothing.
BTW, it may interest you to know that free speech is one of the weakest parts of the Constitition, with numerous glaring exceptions.
