Introducing priest-bots could be a really benefit to the church IMHO.

The AI priesthood could be programmed to avoid molesting altar boys, eliminating a lot of possible liability.

Programming could also insure the heresy is avoided during sermons, equitable penances are given to penitents and the correct words are used on all prayers.

Current human priests could be used to code as doctrines and protocols are introduced.

Well, I think if there will be an anti-christ it will be AI.
I imagine sometime in the distant future when AI and robotics merge, there will be a very human
like figure who will emerge and solve all the worlds problems. Never thought though about this Catholic Priest angle. Interesting.
