Here's an idea for the liberal candidates

Propose a fee on all (Wall Street) stock transactions such that sufficient funds could be raised to offer a federal government monthly payment to all citizens who would renounce their second amendment rights.

This would reduce gun ownership and gun violence while giving liberals the chance to live what they claim to believe. Imposing the death penalty for violators of this renunciation would also reduce the numbers of liberals we have to contend with.
