He ain't dead yet

The people of America showed last November that they were rejecting the failed stimulus. They elected a vast Republican House to deal with the finances of the nation.

Since then the Democrat Senate has continued to block everything the House tries to do that would fix anything.

The People will also remember that it was the Democrat congress that used backroom deals and bribes to pass Obamacare because they couldn't pass such a miserable piece of crap with the facts being made public.

And here comes Obama with another plan to spend more money to do nothing.......

Sorry, he's toast.............

The Stimulus didn't fail and that's not why many voted for the Tea Party.

Let's see, the Tea Party is against higher taxes and more spending.

The stimulus supports both of those things.

How do you come to a different conclusion?

And they are now regretting it.

Percentage poll-wise, they are regretting the election of Mr. Obama more. Note the difference for the House approval rating before and after the debt ceiling and the President's.

Tm just doesn't change. I see that they discovered the cause of the earth quake in Washington and New York, it is a fault outside of Washington called Bushes fault.

He was going to knock the hell out of washington.

The 2010 election was about seniors being scared of death panels, senoirs scared of losing medicare, jobs, and getting rid of people with funny accents.

Some of them talked a little bit about taxes and spending..but that was not the major theme.

The "regret" comes from Obama trying to get along with people that hate his guts.

That's were it comes from.

We wanted a kick ass mofo to really let conservatives know how badly they fucked up..and that it was woodshed time.

What we got was Mary Poppins coddling the kids.

Hopefully that changes.

Not sure I'll be happier about tomorrow being Friday or getting to post on Obama's speech. Some of you fish might want to avoid barrels tomorrow.

Sigh, this is like trying to explain quantum physics to a two year old.

The stimulus DIDN'T work because it's premise was fundamentally flawed, TM. Spending billions of borrowed money to keep Public Sector workers temporarily employed doesn't lead to long term employment gains. Job growth comes from the Private Sector. The REASON the President will be back on stage tonight asking for more stimulus is that the last one didn't stimulate job growth in the Private Sector which means revenues are still down and the Public Sector can't afford all those firemen, teachers and cops.

i don't know where you live but revenues in missouri are growing. the stimulus helped us through what would have been some very tough times.

well good, have you THANKED the TAXPAYERS of this country yet?

Yeah, all that crying about BI-PARIANSHIP flies right out the window when you all don't get your way, doesn't it?

Mr Obama,

Please just send my proportional share of the stimulus directly to me. I promise to stimulate the economy and not vote for a Republican next election.

Sincerely,
saveliberty

P.S. We got a school millage election coming up soon.

Oh and thanks for the payroll tax cuts Mr. Obama. Now more people in the US are not responsible for paying for our expenses. Clearly a helpful move to reduce the deficit. Might stimulate the economy a little at $1,000 a taxpayer. Thinking downpayment on a AK47.

The media is corporate.

It is corprate biased.

There is a market for news that reports on issues people on the left, right and middle want to connect with.

Every single corporate media is out to make money.

They will make money where they can and give their perspective and protect themselves where they can.

Its a corporate news system.

"We [the Chicago Sun-Times editorial page] are returning to our liberal, working-class roots, a position that pits us squarely opposite the Chicago Tribune—that Republican, George Bush-touting paper over on moneyed Michigan Avenue."

The Sun-Times says you're full of shit, TM.

Hold the fork! Obama may not be toast yet - Chicago Sun-Times

No partisan republican or conservative will admit this out loud, of course, but the idea of Obama being ‘done’ more then a year from the general election is not only premature, it’s idiotic.

Any seasoned political observer – on the left or right - knows American presidential politics can be unpredictable and capricious.

Just this May it was a done-deal Obama would be re-elected.

What is the political landscape going to look like another three months from now – or in six months.

With the exception of the USMB universe and similar political venues, no one’s paying any attention to November 2012. Obama remains personally popular; indeed, he hasn’t even begun to campaign yet – his base, perceiving their president in trouble, combined with moderate and independent voters turned off by the extremist rhetoric of the GOP candidate, will more than likely lead to Obama’s re-election.

the American people wont elect Perry.

He has too many far right wing ideas that he can not dump without looking like an ass.

He called SS a ponsi scheme and will NOT be trusted by the American people to fix a system they love.

I swear that this is turning into 1980.

I've heard this one before. Ronald Reagan was going to kill Social Security. He's going to have old people eating Dog Food.

Most people know Social Security is broken. You guys all whine that politicians just tell us what we want to hear. Now we have one telling us the truth, that a system is not sustainable.

It is EXACTLY 1980, a president very weakened and unable to have much effect. A western governor who appears like a radical out of the mainstream. A bad economy seemingly with intractable problems.
Yeah, I can see where this is going.

A Hail Mary jobs bill this close to the election is a last gasp of air before the drowning. What little survives months from now will not help Obama one bit.
