Happy Turkey Day

Why not run them over? You would get free turkey meat.

I like them too much. About a year ago Tom & his wife walked out of the woods & Tom & I had a 10 minute conversation. The Mrs. didn't thunk much of me & walked a few feet ahead & waited for her hubby...but Tom & I had a lengthy talk.

They are so damn ugly I can't help but love them! But they are very personable creatures! :D

Same. I was joking around. I wasn't serious.

Yeah...sure...you even want me to drive over the huge turtles crossing the road just you can can have a bowl of turtle soup...YOU FIEND! :D
That happened to me once, but that was an accident. I returned to the scene and the shell was missing and bloody. Poor thing. Wrong place, wrong time.

Then about 2 months ago I saw a Tom on the side of the road with his chest all puffed out & his tail feathers spread...He was looking for a date & he looked pretty spiffy. At first I thought it was a thanksgiving decoration...but then I realized he was real.

Then the song went thru my mind...EVERY GIRL CRAZY 'BOUT A SHARP DRESSED MAN

Lol this is the song currently going through my own mind. 😁

Well today is Turkey Eve That is. Where we get to munch on the carcass of dead bird. Oh and if your name is buttercup, no this thread isn't meant to antagonize you so hopefully it doesn't as trust me, I have my reasons and I apologize to you ahead of time because you're way too nice. 😊 Anyways, happy Thanksgiving everybody!! :D

I baked 4 loaves of sourdough today...
Had the brioche baked yesterday.

Then I made 3 apple pies today( even made the crust from scratch)....I got the apples from a day trip outside of Chattanooga TN along the Ocoee River.

I also got some cookie dough ready for Friday as I got a lot to get baked before Saturday (Christmas party)

Then I got just a week before the Christmas Party Hell Week. Cookies to Church, the local library, and SS class party, another family party, and a gingerbread house party.
The neighbors get theirs the following week and then my family shows up.

I can hear in the background...there is some dude on FNC YELLING about how to remain calm at the dinner table tomorrow

Pumpkin pie is the way to go for Thanksgiving in my book. 😋

15th post
Not a fan....I can make it...they like it. But I just don't care for that musky melon taste in sweet pies with those spices.

Well the way that I eat it it's more like pumpkin pudding as I can't stand the crust.
