Inside the Fox News lie machine: I fact-checked Sean Hannity on Obamacare - Salon.com

Hannity had several guests complaining about how they couldn't expand their business or were forced to lose their insurance because of Obamacare.

So a Salon reporter looked into it.

He found that the businessman who claimed he couldn't expand only had 4 employees and was not subject to Obamacare, other than having to inform his employees of the existence of healthcare.gov.

So in other words, he was totally full of shit.

Two couples claimed they were forced to lose their insurance. However, the Salon reporter asked if they had shopped for new insurance on the exchange. They did not and were so against Obamacare they said they never would.

So the Salon reporter shopped for them. He found that both couples were eligible for better plans that were substantially cheaper than what they were paying.

What's a better plan?

A better plan according to liberals pushing the obamacare failure says a better plan mandates increased coverage. It just isn't coverage that the individual wants to have. A single 63 year old man who had an irreversible vasectomy now has maternity care, newborn care and lactation therapy, His coverage has been substantially increased and he has to pay more for that coverage. What he's really paying for is not HIS coverage. He's paying for Juanita in East LA to have that care free or subsidized.

Salon?

About as unbiased as the HuffPost and all the other left-wing rags.

The business owners said they would not expand due to Obamacare. What's a lie about that? They have an opportunity to grow but realize the wall they face at having too many employees on which the government forces them to purchase a health care plan. Who would NOT feel reluctant to do something that will definitely bring them more government interference than they already face.

As to the couple, if they don't want Obamacare, what's the lie about that?

This is nothing more than a crybaby leftist attempt to cover up for the Liar-in-Chief!! :eusa_whistle:

I watch Fox News for my comedy fix; and I watch Comedy Central for the news.

You really need to work on your spin skills. Your post is clearly in the running for the most ridiculous of the month. Hannity is at best dishonest, as anyone who has watched his schtik with an unbiased view knows.

A better plan is one that is 60% cheaper with a smaller deductible and covers the same thing.

Man, how stupid are you?

Obamacare isn't what is stopping him from expanding. He only has 4 employees. That's not even close to 50. They guy obviously didn't know what he was talking about.

The 2 couples claimed they lost their insurance. No one said that was a lie. But their phony crocodile tears turn out to be due to their own ignorance because they could have cheaper and better insurance, if they would give Obamacare a chance.

Would you care to try to refute anything I posted?

Or is your rant your only response? :eusa_whistle:

Someone wrote "What's a better plan?" when the OP revealed the Hannitty program fabricated if not falsified "plans" of ACA.

My "rant", in your opinion, was simply an observation, one supported by others. Use it as a reality check or not - I don't give a damn.

"Hey, twit"? Grow up! To begin a post in that manner discredits everything that follows. Prove the truth of what you have alleged.

Since you choose not to let us know where you live, am I remiss in thinking you live in one of the 26 States which did not establish exchanges? Pretend you live in a civilized state and see how well you would do here:

but, but, that doesn't fit the SeanRush :alcoholic: meme!!!

This is the whole disaster with Obamacare. Small businesses are having their health care cancelled, but finding the replacement is way more money.

Or if they go on the exchange (which doesn't work), it falls in a managed care network in which their doctor doesn't participate.

This sentence by itself proves that you are a liar.

There is no such thing as an ACA plan.

There is such a thing as insurance plans.

Shop around.

What I have in hand is an ACA-compliant health plan put forth by my insurer as a "best match" to my current (non-ACA compliant) plan. Should I choose this particular plan, my old one will be cancelled and this one will take effect.

To maintain my current level of coverage will require 120% additional premiums and higher deductibles.

Shop around?? For what? I will have to compromise my quality of coverage in order to get the premiums down to what I NOW pay.

I think "twit" is applicable.
