I've been out of full-on circulation for a while, following some surgery.

Prayers up for your full recuperation from surgery, Mindful, and welcome back. I've been working to improve the quality of karaoke, for several days since last Tuesday. It truly helps if I learn songs taking a week or two, so now, I have a little notebook to put them in and go to YouTube a lot. I inherited my mother's voice, but have been sick for nearly a year with what I thought was a dragged-out pneumonia shot reaction. when I finally did go to the doctor's office last month, she found high cholesterol and ordered me to lose weight. Yeah, that's like telling my cat to be nice today. I actually have lost about 5 pounds and have another 15 to go. She said losing 10 pounds would help, but I'd rather be twiggy. Watermelon is not a bad substitute for pie, and you feel terrific in an hour or two.

About the Canadian geese, incase I get stomped on in the FZ;


As lovely as they are, they are an invasive species in the UK, almost outnumbering the swans of the River Thames in Berkshire. So much so, it is now illegal to import them into the country.

Hope to return to Haiku when my brain has cleared from the fog of pain meds.

Seeing this spectacle in autumn of 2006 gave me renewed
reverence for the wisdom of those alluring Canadian geese.
There were miles and miles of them viewed for hours on train
crossing southwestern Canadian fields. What patient and
amazing parents Canadian geese are. Bless them all for
teaching their young strength development by wise and wonderful willfulness.
