Jews were slaves in Egypt for 800 years.
Guy, there is ZERO archeological evidence that the Hebrews (not the Jews) ever lived in Egypt. In fact, there are scant references to Israel in Egyptian History at all. So if you are going to start your discussion with MYTHOLOGY rather than history, this is going to be a very weak conversation.
Persecuted for 3000 years, survived NAZI genocide.
Except that's not really true, either. (The persecuted for 3000 years part). What they had were spurts of persecution, sometimes for bad reasons (Such as being blamed for the Black Plague) and sometimes for reasons of their own behavior (collaborating with the Moors during the occupation of Spain, being the Tsar's tax collectors, instigating the revolutions across Europe at the end of WWI that resulted in the rise of fascism).
The reason why Jews have done well since WWII is because they were allowed to assimilate into White Culture, finally being considered "White enough".
Actually, that's not really true, either. Very few Jews lived in Germany (they were less than 1% of the population) and most of them lived in Ghettos. The reason why Germans turned on them was their role in the 1918 revolution that brought down the Kaiser. (none of this excuses what Hitler did, but it does explain it.)Jews lived in the mainstream of Germany until the NAZI movement.
I read an interesting article the other day, where Germany has just released archived information from WWII, and so many Germans are shocked to find out their ancestors were Nazi Party members.
