Earlier today, Resolute Forest Products filed a civil RICO suit in a federal district court in Georgia, alleging a pattern of defamatory and fraudulent behavior by Greenpeace and allied organizations. According to the 100-plus-page complaint (and appendix), Greenpeace and its affiliates are a RICO “enterprise” that have waged a deliberately defamatory campaign against Resolute, misrepresenting the company’s practices and environmental record in order to raise funds and promote Greenpeace’s environmentalist agenda: No peace for Greenpeace

Depends on what sort of evidence they have. I have often wondered why companies didn't go this route. It will take years but if they have the evidence to back it up, Greenpeace is toast.

Did you read the complaint? Did anyone who commented on this thread read it? I didn't think so. I doubt that you did. You might risk facing the reality of how Greenpeace is actually a terrorist organization, and the corporation really isn't the monster you claim them to be.

Georgia has extensive and renewable pine forests where most of the yellow pine is grown in the US. Yellow pine is bug and rot resistant and strong. Most new houses are built with yellow pine. Therefore Greenpeace is trying to shut down housing in the US and should be sued and prosecuted to the furthest extent of the law.

Greenpeace are brave if nothing else. I watched a documentary about Greenpeace and Japanese giant whale hunting boats. Greenpeace had two modern looking interceptor boats with a tri-hull. Alas, one of their boats gut cut in half in the Antarctic Ocean (Southern Ocean).

They are terrorists. They do not care about the environment. They care about making money. Nothing else. There may be some who actually believe they are making a difference, but they are deluded. It's all about money. They are criminals, plain and simple. If you read the complaint, like I did, you would find it interesting that their fund raising practices have run afoul of interstate money laundering laws. And that's just the tip of the ice berg.

I'm no fan of wall street, and I never said there was anything wrong with making money. When I said GP were terrorists, I meant it in the literal sense. In which case you are deaf, dumb, AND blind. The only group doing anything against the whaling fleets are Paul Allen and his Sea Shepard group. Greenpeace turned into a progressive lunatic organization decades ago and traded political bullshit for actual intervention long, long ago. I was an original member of Greenpeace when it first started, and I shifted to Sea Shepard when they chased Paul out of the organization because he actually cared about the whales and not their socialist political bullshit.
