Very possible.

With two new seats given to Texas, the lege can creatively redistrict the seats to maximize GOP chances.

It should because 2024 and 2028 are looking like blue invasions into GOP strongholds in Texas.

It is the affect of redrawing districts that favor republicans that they did back in 2010. It has paying off for them. Still the major cities mostly remain democrat. I believe even the state capital has a democrat mayor and is where the republican governor resides. I guess that why they call it Austin Weird.
Some cases about how they redrew the districts actually made it to the Supreme Court and the state was accused of gerrymandering in 2018 and the district maps were found unconstitutional. Well know the court seems to be in republican favor so let the games begin again.

After the way Big Left has treated both Texas and Florida, they will be coming out redder than ever.
