That’s correct, they did consider him a threat, thought he was working with russia during the election and they thought he abused his power in a way that meant he should be impeached. They were a tough opposition and overboard in many ways. But even with all that they did it was nothing close to as childish and petty and classless as the **** Joe Biden movement. We should be much much better than that as a people.

As for kids and parenting… my advice that you didn’t ask for would be to avoid politics and focus on living a good life and achieving their personal goals
