People are allowed to kill others in self defense. And yes, that is a valid “reason” to justify killing. Unless of course you believe no person ever has the right to use lethal force to stop crimes in any situation ever, which would make you a moron and a coward.

This is most misunderstood quote and totally twisted by people like you.

When the Pharisees brought the woman to Jesus and asked him what they should do, it was a trap.

Jewish law says there needs to be two witnesses to such a crime. The accusers themselves must also give testimony and be the ones to cast the first stone if they are going to do the death penalty by law.

There was no witness. No husband even to accuse. These Pharisees were perverting the law and totally corrupt. Where was the man she had been with? Also in Jewish law if you falsely accuse someone in capital punishment, and you stone them to death, you will then be guilty of murder in addition to false witness.

So Jesus knew these men were liars and sinners. That is why he said, “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone”. So they ran off like the liars and cowards they were.

This is in no way refuting capital punishment from Jewish/Christian law.
