God's Hands at Work

I'll try to make this easy to read.
It's just Awesome to watch how God puts people in just the right place at the right time.

I'm a USS Iowa veteran.
If you remember, the Iowa had a terrible explosion in 1989, killing 47 of my shipmates.
Since then she has been in mothballs.
(I got out almost one year to the date before that explosion or I would have been in the Powder Magazine)

She recently was approved to become a museum and will be towed to LA Harbor for her final berth.
Plankowners will have pre-opening privileges from July 2-6.

Well, I got my bonus check a couple weeks ago and used it to book flight-hotel-car for that whole week.
We'll be staying right on Long Beach for the entire week.

Okay. That's the back story......

Monday night an unknown number showed on my phone. Thinking it was a bill collector, I let it go to voice mail.
Checking my messages, later, I'm greeted by a woman with my same last name, calling from Calif, wanting to ask me a couple questions.

I gathered my nerve and called her yesterday.
Turns out she's a daughter of my late Dad's first marriage.
So I now have a brand new 48 yr old sister!!!

In our 30 minute conversation, I asked her where in Calif she was.
She was calling from her Mom's house in Long Beach!!!!

I just had to share how much I love watching God's hands at work!!

She's trying to find out Dad's blood type.
She has some rare bone disorder and the docs say it's hereditary.
(I'm adopted into the name)
