German Tourists Deported From US for Not Booking Hotel

Who the hell goes to Hawaii without booking a hotel? It's another victory for the immigration system that monitors these things.

No, I thought you did.

Then why DO you think that German college students are not foreigners we should be careful about?
Why would you think that?

And be careful about what?

Depends on their visas and local laws. I don’t believe tourists are allowed to work in Europe. I know they are not allowed to in the USA. From what is reported, the girls planned on bumming their way around working crap jobs to support their adventure. Rather than going home, they requested being sent to Japan, that tells me this little hiccup wasn’t going to stop their adventure.

They're 19 and 20. What hotel will let them book a room? None, probably and that's why they didn't already have reservations.

Since Hawaii prohibits United States citizens from owning a firearm if they're under the age of 21, then foreign nationals probably have to be 21+ years old to do anything.
Some will. They could also do AirBnB or something similar.

In Germany. Duh
And the more to the story!

Now they plan to keep traveling and guess what? Working at destinations.

My stepson and his father were both deported from Germany for illegally working there.

Read this. From the New York Post

“But at the time, we didn’t think it was happening to Germans,” Lepere said. “That was perhaps very naïve. We felt so small and powerless.”

While they’re back home, Pohl and Lepere told Ostee Zeitung, they won’t let the US get in the way of their globetrotting and are already making plans for a trip to Mexico and a five-week stint in Costa Rica — where they intend to find work at a surf camp.

Would YOU be able to fly to Hawaii if you didn't book a hotel first?

So you see my point, then.
Not at all.

What is it about female German colleges students that make you think we don't need to be at all cautious about letting them come to our country and do what they want. As oppose to Iranian college-age men, for example?

Female college students in general should be encouraged to come here.
