Yeah, if they don't bring back 99 cent breakfast and $2.99 Baron of Beef and free drinks. LOLVegas is dying
Yeah, they raised there prices but, I read that they will be hosting more organizations and conventions....Woop Dee DooYeah, if they don't bring back 99 cent breakfast and $2.99 Baron of Beef and free drinks. LOL
That's what is called now. I was there in January. Its Cape Canaveral right? LOL.
Oh yeah and $15/night rooms. I know and I understand your point. The excessive pressure of nationwide casinos and lotteries has been working on Vegas for a while and as it has inevitably declined the wannabe casinos have never spread the wealth like Vegas in their gambling packages. I loved NV gaming in the 70s-90s. Great times.Yeah, they raised there prices but, I read that they will be hosing more organizations and conventions....Woop Dee Doo
They also tried to change its name to Cape Kennedy if you recall---I doubt I'll see many maps changed re: Gulf of ******That's what is called now. I was there in January.
They did change it and changed it back! They also tried to change its name to Cape Kennedy if you recall---I doubt I'll see many maps changed re: Gulf of ******
How do we wind up with these people running things?
The mayor's plan for Chicago, to increase tourism, is to raise the hotel tax by 19% on guests.
That makes me want to go to Chicago to experience the warmth of collectivism!
The Sears Tower is pretty cool, but I think I'll pass.
We have it here in some places. Transient Occupancy Tax (TOT)Tourist tax often works and it doesn't deter many. They appear controversial because it raises holiday costs. If you visit Greece, you pay €1.50 to €10 per night tourist tax, depending where you stay.
Starting July 24, 2026, Edinburgh in Scotland will introduce a 5% "visitor levy" (tourist tax) on paid overnight accommodation, including hotels, B&Bs, and short-term rentals like Airbnbs. The tax applies to all visitors, aiming to raise roughly £50 million annually for city services, infrastructure, and housing. But Edinburgh is crap, they've only got a castle and zoo, shopping in Glasgow and Newcastle is streets ahead of Edinburgh's.
Wrong.Yes but in Vegas you gamble with money... in Chicago you gamble with your life....
Is it just me, or does that thing give off Death Star vibes to anyone else? Thing looks like something military a big gun or death ray could come out of.And that eyesore cost several times more than originally budgeted for, no doubt from payoffs and shakedowns.
