Freedom of the Press? Not Any More

He needs to be present. The constitution demands that the accused be allowed to face his accusers in court. That won't fly, sir.

If we conservatives are going to demand adherence to the Constitution, that damn it man, let's demand that it be followed to the letter!
He is not being accused. He is an illegal. That has already been established. His presence will not change that.

Yeah, he is. That's the whole point of a hearing. Since the withholding of removal order was violated, the whole process has to be re-tried.

I'm not the one who makes the rules. Him being an illegal does not change the fact he needs to be tried properly in court.

Too late. he's in another country. His country, not ours, and the president of that country
is not giving him up.
Nothing to see here folks, just move along.

That can be done via Skype. :spinner:

Honestly, what is this, selective due process? I can't fathom any one of you not wanting it for the J6 defendants. The law does not change for the individual or the circumstance.

Fiat justitia, ruat caelum. Fiat justitia, pereat mundus.

Let justice be done, though the heavens fall. Let justice be done, though the world perish.

Then it appears we have an international incident brewing here.

You think they're going to allow that in a supermax prison?

Why? The circumstances have changed and no order is required as he is being deported as a member of a terrorist gang. End of story. Libs like you didn't get that part. No due process under that law. SCOTUS didn't order him back, but to facilitate his return, but El Salvador is not going to do that. Let SCOTUS try to enforce their ruling. What are they going to do? Hold Trump in contempt?

For the same reason a judge would demand a re-trial due to prosecutorial misconduct.

In this case, the authority violated an order. Thus it invalidates the charge of illegal entry. It has to be retried. No ifs, ands, or buts.

Moi, a liberal?

My friend, you have no idea what I am. Just because I take a liberal stance on one issue does not necessarily mean I will take a liberal stance on another.

I honestly thought more people around here would appreciate someone who actually took positions on both sides of the political spectrum...

Sure, an international incident. Perhaps you could get Van Hollen to lead down in El Salvador.

Someone needs to side with the wife beater, I'm glad it's you.

Oh. That's a low blow.

The right to due process does not care if you are a saint or a sinner. It doesn't care about who cares about you or doesn't. The law is the law.

But since we're on that topic, she declined to press charges. Should she have pressed them, I would have fully advocated him being punished to the fullest extent of the law.

You guys are really milking this. It's just a ruse as to interfere with the deportation of illegals.

It's pretty obvious where you're coming from. The word "victims" and you, have never crossed paths.
Stick with the perps. It's a good fit for you.
