No, the Democrats don't have a "virulent antisemitic streak" going on. Even if they did, the republicans are far worse at hating just about everybody. I'm not sure why anyone would support today's republican party. All it is good for is white, straight, Christian if he's a member of the "right" sect, male identity politics.
