Standard protocol for US Presidents. Even if the responsibility lies in those he chooses to get advise from. Obviously no one thought the Army build by the three previous presidents would collapse without a fight. But it did.

Biden left our allies hanging. As reported all over, Biden did not even speak with our allies since performing his haphazard withdrawal.
As a result, our allies no long trust us. The UK is possibly are strongest ally. Biden is making us so weak.

There were reports today that the UK and France were sending their troops out into the population to rescue their citizens as a result of America's contemptuous actions.
Biden is leaving everyone hanging - out allies, Afghans who risked their lives for years helping the US, American citizens. And there are Liberals here at USMB defending him.

At 20:25, the pentagon acknowledges that time is running out to get Americans out safely.
At 21:00, they are asked why they are giving us a false and rosy picture while everything keeps getting worse. They answer that the information they provide is correct at the time they give it; sorry, but things change.
At 25:15, they say there are no US operations ongoing outside of the airport.
At 26:30, they say that of 17,000 evacuees, ~2500 are American citizens.
At 29:00, it's gets interesting when the pentagon says their gates are open, but don't come to them. Sometimes, they close the gates and no one gets through.
At 36:00, they are asked if the American flag is flying at the Kabul Airport. Answer is "yes."
At 38:45, they acknowledge that some Americans have faced violence.
