What socialism is exactly being forced on you? You act America is steeped in socialism. Trust me, America is far from socialism. I've lived in two socialist countries and standard of living is excellent. Majority of people hold a university degree, universal healthcare and the rich their fair share.

America has none kid those things. So stop whining about socialism in America, because there is none. Just a failed capitalist system.

Refusing to address - or even acknowledge - the weaknesses of capitalism will only speed up the move toward "socialism" (depending on your definition).

No system is perfect, carefully & efficiently-regulated capitalism is the best in my view, but ignoring (and even doubling down) its problems is a bad idea.
