What was she about to say? Was it slanderous.? Was it a threat? Free speech is not absolute. IN any case, many school boards are dominated by conservatives and I am will to bet that liberals get the same treatment there

Books with gay parent couples wouldn't bother me, so long as it wasn't too overt in pushing the propaganda. Same-sex marriage is now recognized as a right, and discrimination against them is banned, so that is within the mainstream of thought in the U.S. I would have to think that making the dads Purim super-heroes is pretty close to blatant propaganda. If the story is about Purim, and the same-sex element isn't focused on, I would be OK with it.

But I'm not a Florida taxpayer/voter/parent, so what I think don't count. See how that works?

In the Ramona Quimby books, the main character's parents went through hard times when the dad lost his job. There was no need for any child reading it to dwell on what mom and dad did in the bedroom. Nor would there be in a similar book about a same-sex married couple.

Books about little boys "knowing" that they are really little girls are pure leftist fantasy. Some kids reading them will act out those fantasies, especially if adults around them influence them to do that. Once they start playing that role to be accepted by those adults, they will find it hard to quit.

The left encouraging "transgender kids" reminds me of kiddie pageant moms. They always say, "she can quit whenever she wants!" But, can a child really quit, seeing how wrapped up in it their mom is?
