Oh, so now you're declaring private business to be "utilities" so that government can control them. Socialist much?i understand it quite wellYou don't understand the difference between a business and government.

FaceBook will be open for lawsuits from both sidesthats the goalOriginally you said you wanted a "level playing field".
but failing that I will settle for punishing FaceBook and suppressing liberal opinions along with conservatives
And what makes you think removing 230 will do that?
its arbitrarily banning conservatives it does not agree withFacebook is doing no such thing.
And? How will that make them suppress liberal opinions along with conservatives?FaceBook will be open for lawsuits from both sidesthats the goalOriginally you said you wanted a "level playing field".

they are monopoliesTwitter and Facebook aren't the only services.
I think they well want to instead of getting suedHow will that make them suppress liberal opinions along with conservatives?

This is an admission that you support government corruption.see post #998

of course notI guess your imagining that these lawsuits will shut down online discussions sites (like this one) altogether. Is that it?
It's a team sport to kaz. Didn't you get the memo?
And you're on "Team Nazi," 100%
All you need to know is that I'm NOT on your team. Not even close.
And why do you think they'll get banned also? Removing 230 won't require FB to be fair. It won't require them to give equal time to Republicans or anything like that. I just don't see how it would achieve any of your goals - other than the revenge thing. FB will get hit with more lawsuits for while (until the lawyers and the courts iron everything out), but they'll still be able to ban Trump, and not ban liberals, and do all the things they're doing now. How would that "level" the playing field?of course notI guess your imagining that these lawsuits will shut down online discussions sites (like this one) altogether. Is that it?
But FaceBook won't be such a fun playground for liberals if they are getting banned also

True, you're a Nazi, I'm a Libertarian. We are polar opposites.
Whatever. I think your conception of "Libertarian" is perversely distorted, Orwellian even, but I can't keep you from using the term. As long as we're clear that your version of "libertarian" has nothing at all to do with my ideology, that of the Libertarian party, or sanity.
Well, if your assurances that nothing will change turn out to be correct then you have nothing to lose by taking FaceBook and Twitter off the exempted listAnd why do you think they'll get banned also? Agreed. But I suspect, after that falls flat, you'll want more. You seem to be invested in this notion of declaring them to be public utilities, effectively nationalising them. The scary thing about that is, the Dems want the same damned thing. And when D's and R's agree, bend over.Well, if your assurances that nothing will change turn out to be correct then you have nothing to lose by taking FaceBook and Twitter off the exempted listAnd why do you think they'll get banned also? I'm not the one whining to serve me by exposing private companies to business ending lawsuits. That would be the guy staring at you in the mirror.
There is still breaking them up like StandardOil into many small companiesBut I suspect, after that falls flat, you'll want more
DBlack assures us it won't hurt them at allI'm not the one whining to serve me by exposing private companies to business ending lawsuits. That would be the guy staring at you in the mirror.
