9/6/2025 I learned what Florida is doing about vaccine mandates from the Florida Surgeon general. He made a very impassioned speech that Florida is ending vaccine mandates. He did not condemn vaccines; he stuck a blow favoring your rights over states mandates.

Florida, the same state that recently failed to pass an amendment legalizing recreational marijuana (because of a stricter amendment requirement than other states)? That Florida?

So get rid of vaccine mandates in schools because freedom, but also prevent adults from using recreation drugs? Why freedom in one case, but not the other? If public health/safety are your argument for making recreational drugs illegal, that's the same argument for vaccine mandates.

There are a couple of reasons someone would care. Not wanting to see anyone get sick is one. Even if a person disagrees with or dislikes someone else, they might not want bad things to happen to that other person.
There’s also the fact that not everyone can be vaccinated and vaccines are not 100% effective. If someone has a medical condition which prevents them from getting a vaccination, they will be at risk. The same is true for any unlucky enough that a vaccine ends up ineffective for them.

So, a child is expecting their parents to do the right thing. That child of 5 or under does not get a choice, but their parents are putting them at risk by not giving them vaccines.

Most countries on par with the US in terms of economies, the UK, Germany, Australia etc have infant morality rates of 4. something or less.

So, at least 1/3rd of infant mortality cases in the US should not be happening.

I made the mistake in CA of voting to legalize marijuana.

Smoking pot is just as dangerous as smoking cigarettes. I voted accidently to sentence pot users to death. It is a lingering death with no benefits. My brother died due to his smoking pot. At a young age.

Florida is on the path ban forcing citizens to get vaccines. Vaccines are not deadly so Florida plans to stop forcing you to get vaccinated.

Vaccines absolutely should not be mandated. It should be voluntary. If the vaccine is beneficial people will feel comfortable getting the shot. If, however the vaccine turns out to be dangerous, like the covid vaccine, people can choose not to get it and nothing can force them.

Only if one accepts it. You dont understand the difference between a commitment or forced treatment against ones will and the law that mandates we treat those who are not insured. In an emergency they only have to be stabilized. Thats not forced treatment like a vaccine mandate.

They will have to treat them for COVID, until they are stable.

Er s must stabilize patients admitted and cant refuse treatment.
In mental health we can force treatment against a patients will.
After 30 years working in 4 hospitals I have good understanding of how things work
