I live across the river from Cape Coral. The News Press story gave a lot more background on this guy. He's been trouble for a while now --
Cape Coral shooting suspect once pulled gun on meter reader, former prosecutor says | The News-Press | news-press.com
FINALLY someone actually addressing the topic and not just the trolling it up like the right wing morons are,..
Yes there has been quite a bit coming out now that he pulled a gun on a meter reader and was arrested for it. He also has been considered mentally unstable by numerous people including law enforcement, but was still allowed to keep his reported 14 guns.
This is pretty ridiculous that the GOP and their "yeee ha gunnz 4 all!" mentality kept a mentally ill person stocked to the brim with deadly weapons causing the murder of an innocent person,...
My guess is that thank you to liberal laws, they could do nothing with him because he was "mentally ill". Mentally ill is a disability these days, and liberals are adamantly opposed to incarcerating them, or putting them in residential treatment.
So they're among us.
Oh, and you can't discriminate against them, so unless he was convicted of a felony, he gets to keep his guns.
Because of right wing laws that let virtually everyone own a gun, even those that are mentally ill are allowed to have guns.
After he was arrested for pulling a gun on a meter reader in a previous incident, you would think a basic psych evaluation would be in order to see if he was mentally stable enough to be capable of responsibly owning firearms would be in order I would assume,..or would that be "government intrusion"
