BUSH!
When will start addressing the shortcomings of the current POTUS rather than "flashing back" to the shortcomings of the previous office holder? Do you do this because you have no defense for the moves Obama has made and continues to make?
It actually has nothing to do with Bush. It's not about Bush it's about the appalling hypocrisy of the right. They didn't give a shit if the bird flu czar had any medical experience, but they are throwing a fit and falling into it because President Obama's Ebola czar doesn't. Bush isn't key.
Says the far left Obama drone that will vote far left no matter what..
Again fro the far left posters that missed this:
Stewart Simonson was the first Assistant Secretary for Public Health Emergency Preparedness at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).
The RW Nutter criticism is that Ron Klain isn't a doctor. Is Stewart Simonson a doctor? No...hence the appalling hypocrisy. What Ron Klein is good at is crisis management and that is what you need, not a doctor. The surgeon general is a doctor. We do need one of those.
Read post #26 and cry me a river.
Why? It has nothing to do with what I said. I said we need a surgeon general, that's all. I also said the nutter criticism is nothing more than the usual ODS because the nutters didn't give two figs that Stewart wasn't a doctor, they only care that Obama's choice isn't a doctor.
There is an acting Surgeon General and he is certainly better qualified than the Ebola Czar and the head of the CDC combined.
Lushniak spent 16 years with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
While there, he worked on assignments in Russia, Kosovo and Bangladesh. He also worked at the World Trade Center site and with the CDC anthrax team.
Lushniak joined the Food and Drug Administration in 2004. He served as the Chief Medical Officer, Office of Counter-terrorism Policy and Planning in the Office of the Commissioner before being named FDA Assistant Commissioner, Counterterrorism Policy and Director of the Office of Counterterrorism and Emerging Threats within the Office of the Commissioner, the following year. He was promoted to Rear Admiral (Upper Half) and named Deputy Surgeon General in 2010
