Five die of hunger in
besieged Syria camp

BEIRUT - Five people, including an elderly man, a woman and a disabled man, have died of hunger in a besieged Palestinian refugee camp south of Damascus, a monitoring group said Friday.

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's troops have sealed off several rebel-held areas ringing the capital, some for more than a year, prompting fears of a worsening humanitarian disaster as citizens run low on food and fuel.

Starvation during war is nothing new. It's been done by every group on the Earth, to include Christians.
look in the Old testament and you will find directions on genocide advocated by God.

Starvation was an effective tactic used by the Arab Crusaders in Darfur to kill hundreds of thousands.

Just look at the imagery - holy warriors on horseback, wielding swords to bludgeon and slice villagers who were put on the run in the face of attackers.

It's a picture right out of the 7th century.

That people are starving to death is to be expected.
Assad after so many days of barrel bombing, his army is evacuating 5000 Alawite and Druse. He does not care about the rest that are not shiite supporter of his.
