War monitor says Assad has fled Syria after rebels enter capital

there are reports Assad was killed in his plane which is reported to have come down possibly shot down, it that's the case at least he won't be beheaded by Western backed Islamist rabble.

Did they? i don't remember Assad beheading women in the streets.

Do you really want to talk about the human rights abuses committed by Assad and his father?

It's quite a long list, but here's one of the highlights.

Well, that would be a fitting end, wouldn't it.

Although reports are that he's fled to his masters in Iran.

So are you saying Islamist terrorists and the Muslim Brotherhood should not have been crushed? i could give you a list of horrific Western backed Islamist terrorist atrocities it's longer and more horrific than your fabricated list trust me.

I'm saying that the Assad's were brutal mother fuckers, and now their own people have turned on them.

Deal with it.

Yes the Middle East has been a 2000 year long shit show. Now the question is, will the rebel groups figure out that if they cooperate with each other THEY could be the new government of a country. Or will they be stupid Muslims and fight with each other over power and plunder the country? I'll take stupid Muslims for $400 Alex.

Clean Break Strategy calls for destabilizing Syria.

Reports are that Damascus has fallen. With it goes the last secular regime in the middle east where Christianity was tolerated and protected.
The radical head choppers, hailed as liberators, have won.

You have no idea what he did to those deemed to not be loyal to the regime. It was awful. A young boy had a song on his phone that was deemed to be disrespectful and what happened to him was too awful to repeat here.

You don't know, even people didn't like Assad that is no reason to support Al Qaeda and ISIS just to get rid of him.

It also takes one of the Countries who have resisted the Zionist Regime, now the Zionists can continue with the final solution to the Palestinian question they have already stolen more Syrian land for greater Israel and colonial Lebensraum, the extermination of Palestinians and ethnic cleansing will continue, so all those Arabs celebrating the downfall of Assad they have never supported the Palestinians like those tame Gulf state Arabs, Turkey didn't give one bullet to the resistance in Gaza.

I would hardly call it a "Secular" regime... Jordan and Egypt are more secular than Assad was. Assad was completely in the pocket of the Ayatollahs in Iran.

yet they did exactly that.

Now, it remains to be seen how far HTS has broken from Al Qaeda (it was never in with ISIS) or if they have the capability to work with other partners. Syria might well end up like Libya, with various militias controlling their own area.

I am probably one of the biggest critics of Israel on this board. I don't think there's any cheering in Tel Aviv over this turn of events.

Sorry but Syria WAS a very secular Country, if i was a Christian i would get out now, Assad protected them and other minority groups, in 2016 after the Syrians liberated Aleppo from the head choppers they celebrated Christmas for the first time in years under the Islamists, i doubt there will be any Christmas trees on sale this year, also there were elements of Socialism in Syria which the Empire didn't like such as free medical care and one of the highest literacy records in the middle east, women teachers and Doctors etc, we have seen this before, Afghanistan was like that until the US sent it back to the dark ages supporting Islamists.

Christmas last year in Aleppo.

Recall Muammar Gaddafi's speech at the Arab League summit in Damascus in 2008.
He warned those present that they were “next in line”. Bashar al-Assad was amused by these words:
