I wonder if Abbott will send four or five buses at a time to really make the point. That might even receive local coverage. How could they avoid it if citizens take videos themselves and post online?

For as useless as Canada is across so many metrics, our immigration system has been based primarily on merit for some time. America should learn from such an approach.

A bus from Texas arrived in Washington, D.C. Wednesday morning, transporting dozens of illegal immigrants as part of Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s new plan to counter federal immigration policies during an ongoing border crisis.

Abbott announced last week that he was directing the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) to transport migrants released from federal custody in Texas to the nation’s capital and other locations outside his state.

The bus pulled up at approximately 8 a.m. local time, blocks away from the U.S. Capitol building. Fox News has learned that they came from the Del Rio sector in Texas, after coming to the U.S. from Colombia, Cuba, Nicaragua, and Venezuela.

2 things
1. This is awesome
2. Merit based immigration is apparently about 6 ism's. We cant have that!

Del Rio is not even the hot spot. From the gulf to Laredo is the area that REALLY needs a wall. It is 1000 miles closer to Central America than any other part of the U.S.

Del Rio is too far north.

Abbott is less than fucking useless; he's the Lindsay Graham of Governors.

He needs to station Texas National Guard and Militia at the crossing points and tell the Mexican President: DO NOT ENTER HERE!

"The agency added that each bus has the capacity and supplies necessary to carry up to 40 migrants released in Texas communities and transport them to Washington, D.C."

Yeah if they can only get 40 on a bus Abbot needs to be sending a fleet of busses or this will be just viewed as a stunt.

Good now the rest of the states need to follow suite.

Actually, they can't. Unlike DC , Texas has a very limited amount of taxation available.

Looks like they will have to give up priorities like prosecuting mothers for getting an abortion and harassing teachers who teach about race

The Mexican border is a whole lot closer. Why don't they just take back there?
