What sort of resources have flowed into the race? We've seen liberals pour resources into special elections that are simply impossible to replicate in an election year. So maybe we see an upset, but that only paints a small part of a bigger picture. It also creates a false narrative if this is like that Iowa election.

It shouldn't be close enough to matter. Add a D+15 to every House race and Republicans will be wiped out next year.

Republicans just no longer turn out in special elections - which used to be indicative of Democrat voters.

But as many voters who would have been Dem on paper years ago (young, working class, minority etc.) begin to vote MAGA - the Republicans have also been cursed with their voting habits.
