That is beautiful Madeline. I am going with "the first ones" as my answer to the OP. lol. Actually tulips have often been a fave...just wish they had a sweet fragrance.
 
They come later, but I have always loved peonies. I think they'd make a wonderful wedding bouquet....don't you, Huggy?

Totally agree with that one, Madeline. And of the many varieties of lilacs, only one has the sweetest and deepest fragrance but I can't recall which one...lol.
 
I love walking in the woods in spring, coming into a clearing and it's carpeted in purple and white violets
