Explaining Socialism to a Republican

except the few don't own the top. Steve Jobs for example can only make $15 billion if he makes $300 billion in new computer toys available to everyone. He gets paid only if everyone is rich enough to buy his stuff. Do you understand?

Steve Jobs is dead. It ?may? help your bloviating is you exampled a living person.

dear, no one ever said there has been a pure free market somewhere, only that we should be moving toward a free market. Do you understand now?

There has NEVER been as free market anywhere. There never will be a free market anywhere. The free market is a theory without basis of fact.

I'm always curious what it is you think you're saying when you make this statement. You seem to think it has some significance but, what?

Here's a detailed explanation:

Like unicorns the free market doesn t exist

dear, a pure socialist market does not exist either. You think its a brilliant point when all it does it make you look stupid and liberal. You know that in your heart which explains why you are so afraid to defend it. Why not see a shrink? Tell him you believe with all your heart but hate yourself because there is no reason to believe. You're like a true believer Nazi. You know the truth in your heart.

Liberals are always saying how all they want is equal opportunity. Where does that exist? Nowhere, but tell them it's impossible and then watch the fireworks.

its collapsing again, do you understand?

dear the economy is producing the iphone 6 plus with 10's of millions buying them. Thats the opposite of collapsing. You are an idiot liberal. Is any other conclusion possible? If so please tell me what it is?

as per your lame ass pontification " Name one thing that has been privatized in the last 30 years"
all I NEED IS ONE.
An adult would admit their mistake right about now. I won't hold my breath..

I actually asked OnePercenter. He said "look at all the lame-ass privatization Republicans have done." One thing is trivial, especially when you consider an industry as small as the prison industry. When you attempt to blame privatization for economic problems, then you should be able to produce a long list of examples, not just one.
best dodge ....

Considering your chronic running away problem, that's rather an ironic complaint, don't you think?
speaking of chronic you lack the ability to comprehend that I've not run away from anything.
it not a complaint it's statement of fact...

Water privatization
  • Water privatization is used here as a shorthand for private sector participation in the provision of water services and sanitation. Private sector participation in water supply and sanitation is controversial. Proponents of private sector participation argue that it has led to improvements in the efficiency and service quality of utilities. It is argued that it has increased investment and has contributed to expanded access. They cite Manila, Guayaquil in Ecuador, Bucharest, several cities in Colombia and Morocco, as well as Côte d'Ivoire and Senegal as success stories. Critics however, contend that private sector participation led to tariff increases and has turned a public good into a private good. Many believe that the privatization of water is incompatible with ensuring the international human right to water. Aborted privatizations in Cochabamba, Bolivia, and Dar es-Salaam, Tanzania, as well as privately managed water systems in Jakarta and Berlin are highlighted as failures. Water privatization in Buenos Aires, Argentina and in England is cited by both supporters and opponents, each emphasizing different aspects of these cases. Statistical studies comparing public and private utilities show little difference in performance between them.

We're discussing "Republican privatization," Nimrod, meaning here in the United States. However, I'm quite certain privatization of water in other countries had good results. The complaint that it "turns a public good into a private good" is like complaining that water is wet.
false
this "" Name one thing that has been privatized in the last 30 years" shows no indication That you meant "Republican privatization".
now who's running away.?.

Socialism has no middle class, The bourgeoisie, or middle class is the primary target for destruction under socialism.

Socialism is essentially a restatement of feudalism, an elite of less than one percent of the population rules over the masses and distributes the spoils as they see fit.

Baron or ACA Czar, it is the same - nobility established by the ruler to control the peasants. Hapsburg or Clinton, it makes no difference, an elite by family who rules by merit of blood.

A free market plays no favorites, the best and brightest win. Socialism is nothing BUT favoritism, boon granted from one ruler to their subordinates, who grant boon down the line.

Socialist ideals = placing money into one pot to pay for services for the benefit of all.

There is no free market. I'ts a lie.
fun fact : the NFL is socialist
Jon Stewart: The NFL is socialist, and it's not such a bad thing (VIDEO)

No matter your political affiliation or what you think about the president or, like Ferris Bueller, you don't believe in –isms, it'd be hard to deny that the NFL practices a successful form of socialism.

Don't believe me? Check out this clip from Tuesday night's Daily Show with Jon Stewart when the host asks whether being accused of socialism is such a bad thing.

At the very end of the clip, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell makes a brief appearance to sum up Stewart's point. Even if you don't agree with Stewart or Goodell (or Karl Marx, for that matter), it's a funny 4 minutes on a Wednesday morning.

Are there any nations with a pure economy such as socialism, capitalism etc. I think most are mixtures as is America's.

explaining middle class to liberals.

Doh, they have no idea what the middle class is.

Medicare Part D, created by the GOP, is socialism. Conservatives all say the same eye-rolling thing when you point this out: "But I opposed it!" Riiiiiight. Sure you did.

Medicare was created by the Dem's and it was a failed attempt at trying to fix a Dem mess up.
