How could Obama lie to the American people like that? Because telling the truth would make him look like the ignorant, incompetent, and ineffective has-been that he is. Not to mention torpedoing the Democrat's chances in the up coming election. Neither side can afford to loose this November. This is probably the most crucial non-presidential election in history. Obama knows that, he'd claim responsibility for winning the revolution, painting the Sistine Chapel, and writing the Bible if he thought he could get by with it, and if he thought it would swing votes to the left.
