Truth must never be judged at the light of men. Men it is who must be judged at the light of truth.

For instance, truth is: one must be generous and loving. When someone is not, we judge him by the truth and say he is not a good person. We don't look at someone who is neither generous nor loving, and then say the human being is an evil creature, unable to care for and to love people.

So you must absolutely never say, just because of the horrible crimes committed by Muslim terror groups, that Islam is an evil, or that Islam is a terrorist ideology. What is Islam ? It is a religion made of three parts Iman, Islam, Ihsan.

Iman: to believe in God, His angels, His revealed books, His Prophets, the Day of Judgment, and Pre-destination (meaning everything that happens were destined to happen, God decreed it long ago).
Islam: 5 pillars. Profession of faith, 5 prayers a day, fasting the month of Ramadan, paying Zakat which is mandatory alms-giving for 25$ for every 1000$ you get, and pilgrimage to Mecca once in your lifetime
Ihsan: to worship God as if you see Him (love and fear, trust and hope, friendship and dedication, service and passion, etc...) because if you don't see Him, He sees you.

The Archangel Gabriel, the Trustworthy Messenger (peace be upon him) asks Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) about what Islam is

These are sublime marvelous ideals. Accusing Islam of being evil, or being a political movement holding ideologies of war and conquest, is completely wrong. If 100 % of all Muslims were vicious criminals, still that means absolutely nothing regarding Islam. Islam is a religion. You can see its definition from "Islam 101" above and apprehend its holiness.
