Enhanced Video/Pretti

Minnesota does not have a "duty to inform" or "duty to declare" law requiring firearm owners to inform law enforcement upon interaction. They must inform an officer if asked, but they are not required to volunteer it.

Well I stand corrected. Shocking in a blue city....but oh wait, they hate cops. Nevermind

The latest report in my opinion as a US Lawfare member was an illegal use of deadly force by ICE. After he was disarmed there was no imminent threat and would have been restrained.
In context Pretti was in a violent encounter a week before breaking his rib. He then went to a protest with a loaded gun and inserting himself into the conflict. Thats revenge as motive and there is intent. It still doesnt support him being shot. Only that his judgement was poor and his act was total stupidity

Why would I do that? It's 13 minutes long. What are you trying to prove?

Yes, this. And again: how culpable are the police in a situation of chaos like this? Some people may be upset to learn that they aren't that culpable

I requested you watch the whole video for 2nd Amenedment context, but then pointed to 07:30 which begins an analysis of the events.

Not trying to prove anything other than have a discussion about actual events.

Yes he has a right to carry a gun but bringing it to a violent event and inserting himself was an act of stupidity. Why did he bring the gun in the first place? He was in a violent confrontation with ICE a week ago.

All of which is a red herring to the actual event leading up to the shooting.

ICE at the scene had no idea that he was at a previous protest.

ICE at the scene initiated violence.

ICE at the scene did not know he had a firearm (which he never brandished or attempted to access) prior to them already restraining him on the ground with his hand in front of him.

Everyone please notice that Pretti gets this for being a fully armed man wandering into a police situation who did not put his hands up immediately and declare that he was armed
Fyi, maybe he should have declared it to the agents... which is debatable that he could have been killed earlier if he had as jacked up they all were, but under Minnesota Law, he DID NOT HAVE TO DECLARE IT....it is up to Law Enforcement to ask him if he has a weapon on him....concealed carriers under Minnesota law are not required to declare to cops that they have a weapon....just tell the truth when ASKED only.

/——/ “ICE at the scene initiated violence.”
No, retard. It was Border Patrol carrying out their lawful duty. The protesters incited the violence.
For the hundredth time, ICE is arresting illegals all over the country, but the protesters only operate in one single city. Why?

Sorry retard.

Protests against ICE are occuring nationwide.

And guess what? Trumps Czar is talking about publishing protesters names on TV and making a database available to the public.

That will work well, what are now local communities working together will know who to reach out to for national organization. (Law of unintended consquences.)

Huh? Was the event violent or planned to be violent??? The only violence being shown of this event that I have seen is done by and initiated by border agents...CBP.

NOTE! concealed carry holders usually always leave the house with their guns on body...they got the gun and licence to conceal carry for primarily a security and safety reason.

/—-/ Peaceful protests, yes. But, not the violent ones like Miniapolis. I support peaceful protests.

We have to ask why did he bring a gun to a riot in the first place then insert himself into an event? Why was he there what was his intent? He had no identification. He should not have been shot but his act was poor judgement.

Duh! He was video taping the event, in case ICE or CBP got out of hand, which is perfectly LEGAL in the entire Nation, and a protected constitutional right, ruled by several courts including the Supreme Court, several times. Same with whistles blown, and following ICE via their cars or walking...ALL RULED CONSTITUTIONAL, and again just confirmed again recently by the Courts.

This was CBP, not ICE and was a few blocks AWAY, from the ICE operation to arrest the two alleged criminals. CBP was guarding the peripheral. No one at this spontaneous gathering where they were, was remotely close to the ICE operation, where they were at.

And as I told you, concealed carry holders usually strap that gun on right after they have brushed their teeth, and before locking their door behind them. It is routine.

His was an act of stupidity but he didn't deserve to be shot. He gets a Darwin award posthumously.
It is not routine to carry every day mot of us dont.
