Tomorrow night they play Miami on MNF.
  • The Steelers are listing and creaking with a team that is highly inconsistent from week to week.
  • Their star DT (TJ Watt) cannot play because of a punctured lung he got during "dry needling" to relieve muscle cramps.
  • The team remains in limbo with highly paid players and lots of talent that somehow, their coaching never finds a way of utilizing. Some of their highest paid players spend most of their time sitting on the bench or hardly ever being used in the actual game.
  • The Steelers suffer this mind-numbing conundrum of never being able to figure out what kind of team they want to be that plays into their strengths--- instead, every week, they come out trying to "confuse" their opponent with a new look and strategy, only that their opponents seem seldom fooled and the Steelers look unpracticed and unprepared.
  • On the up side, Pittsburgh has never lost a Monday Night game! I think they are something like 11-0, 15-0, 22-0, something like that on Monday night.
  • It will be bitterly cold tomorrow night in Pittsburgh. The Dolphins are from Miami.

As to the Dolphins:
  • They started out horribly at something like 2-7, but since then, have come on like gangbusters, found their stride, brought the game back to basics, and have been playing lights out football the past several weeks. Some consider them right now to be the hottest team in the NFL.
If Pittsburgh wins this one, they are almost assured a playoff spot. Life would be much easier after tomorrow if they win. But if there is any team that can F it up, it is Pittsburgh, so I think the odds better of Pittsburgh just beating themselves with fumbles, picks, and mistakes than the Dolphins really outplaying them.

Lol, it could be worse they could be the Browns.

I gettcha, but the Brown actually have some talent on their team, they have Devin Bush, an ex-Steeler, they have Myles Garrett, maybe the best DT in the game, and they have Joe Flacco. The Browns just don't seem to be able to put it all together to win more games, but they often come close to winning.

They have Aaron Rodgers.

Yeah, Rogers is something special, but he is 42 years old now and suffering a fractured wrist. He's had another week to sort of rest it after playing a game after taking just one week off, but I cannot believe it will feel good going out playing football in the teens with a cast-up wrist still mending from fractures.

Lol you could give us nothing but all pros and we would still figure out a way to lose. We have cap problems to boot. You see the turd they left today? I could have been ice fishing. I had buddies that destroyed the crappie and perch today. Where was I watching the Browns lay another turd

Wow! The Bears destroyed them! As well as the Bears should have. The Bears are a very good team. I caught part of the first quarter before anyone scored and never got back to follow the rest of the game.

Unfortunately for the Pittsburgh Steelers, the Ravens won today too, destroying Cincinnati.

That puts Pittsburgh in a real dumpster if they lose to Miami tomorrow night.

I would prefer the Steelers over the Ravens winning the division. I just don't even know what to say about the Browns anymore. Prolly better if fishing or hunting on Sundays. I still have no deer in the freezer. Have no crappie in the freezer either. I have an ass load of walleye though.

If the Steelers keep the division, it will only be because Baltimore floundered, but the way they beat Cincinnati today suggests to me that the Ravens will win 4th seed. Maybe Pittsburgh will get in again as a wildcard.

If Pittsburgh loses to Miami tomorrow, I think Baltimore takes the AFC North. If Pittsburgh pulls out another win in these harsh conditions after also playing well last week, I think they'll be first.

The Browns are a lost cause, after all, the real Browns are really the Ravens. But if Pittsburgh gets into the Playoffs, I think it will be a miracle if they actually win the first round as they will be going up against a really good team.

You are likely right. Pittsburgh will figure it out. Over the history of the NFL Pittsburgh is arguably the best franchise. Just a matter of time till they are playing for a ring again.

You could be right. Pittsburgh has had some great teams. I've heard there is a Steeler Sports Bar in every city. Certainly, they've been one of the best top 5 teams in the NFL over all.

Just a matter of time till they are playing for a ring again.
I hope so. I was tempted to turn off their games last year. I'd be delighted if these last four games, they actually give an exciting performance with much to cheer about. I don't mind Pittsburgh losing, beaten or outplayed by a better team, but in recent years, they don't even make a good fight of it. I doubt they will see another ring so long as Mike Tomlin heads the team.

In my heart of hearts, I really expect the Steelers to crash and burn again, they just don't show me any consistency or progress from week to week and now they have Miami, the Lions, and the Ravens still to play again. I expect they'll beat the Browns, by surprisingly little, lose to the Ravens at home, and lose to the Lions.

All that leaves is for them to win tomorrow night, and I consider tomorrow a toss up.

That would make them a 9-8 pissant mediocre team again.

My sister-in-law got "certified" in dry needling and wanted to do some work on my lower back. Glad I didn't let her near me!

I've never heard of it. They say it is very painful. I'm not sure the theory here, I guess the idea is to break up the muscle to allow new avenues of blood flow into the tissue for faster healing.

Doesn't sound too good if the needles are going in deep enough to puncture a lung.

Its not his throwing wrist is it?

Thankfully, no. But it is the wrist and hand he needs to use to brace his fall if sacked or knocked down, especially if he still has the ball.

Pittsburgh is the best franchise? They were the sad sacks of the NFL until the 1970's.
