3-Years ago we had to file paper Income Tax forms because our eFile was rejected becuase someone had filed a return with her SSN.

If there were no checks in the system, how did they know the SSN had been used?

(It took a couple of months, but it was eventually cleared as a case of someone attempting identity theft.)

It is going to be a fun 4-years if the first two weeks made the democrats this crazy.

I can't wait for Musk to dive into the Welfare and Medicaid systems looking for fraud.

Use your head. The fraud is organized and the same number does not have the same address.

Back during the Vietnam War era, our SS number was also our military serial number. There's a shit-ton of surplus military gear and documentation out there that has people's names and SS numbers on it.
