Blocking off migrant workers from valued agricultural work is a bad idea. And abandoning the ideal of America as the land of opportunity is a tragic idea.

The problem most anti-immigrant folks is the "illegal" part. It seems to make sense, from a humanitarian aspect, an economic aspect and a legal aspect is to have comprehensive immigration reform.
