It will be interesting how the country progresses post the 2024 election. The country is highly polarized and deeply angry. The economy has resulted in a lower savings rate and record credit card debt. The healthcare system has declined notably and global conflicts are threatening WW3.

I am very worried for my kids. Regardless who wins. Is there hope for a happier outcome?

Not really, Both candidates have talked about a lot of stuff but neither one of them have talked about reducing our national debt.

Humans will continue no matter the election outcome.

Release the zombie virus!

Don't you think that is influenced by who is running the country?

Either way half the country will be disappointed

No, if Harris wins, half the nation will be profoundly concerned for the state of our elections, the state of the brainlessness of our young people who elected her, and deeply concerned for our future.

If Trump wins, the Left will be apoplectic, there will be riots and looting in the streets, and democrats will go on a warpath to block Trump's certification to install Harris anyway, block his administration, oppose his every policy, and get him impeached. Maybe even poison his food or something.

I am very worried for my kids.
You should be. I thank my lucky stars I lived my life in good times, happy times and prosperity, and ain't growing up in today's world.

Is there hope for a happier outcome?
Nope. If Trump wins, WWIII is right around the corner. Democrats are looking to stage yet another coup, take over the country, then declare half the country domestic threats, and if anyone so much as objects to their Forth Reich, you will be denounced as an enemy insurrectionist--- in other words, the democrats intend to be the very thing the Founders broke away from to create America to leave, then will criminalize you for following the Founders and the Constitution.

LEO will shoot protesters in the head this time of any stripe. That means you, too, BLM.

Sadly, no. We will be propelled into the Great Reset of 2030.
We have spent our way to the destruction of the dollar. The Central Bank owns us and will be transitioning us to complete control with their Central Bank Digital Currency.
They will giveth vouchers, and taketh away vouchers at will. You will not get enough vouchers to pay your taxes or your electric. You either subject yourself to Dr. Gate's vaccines or no vouchers for you. Cars are bad, so for now they will allow 1 car per 3 families. Gate's fungus burgers will replace that Prime Rib on the grill. Without farmers and tractors, food will be scarce.
1/2 of this country isn't going to be unhappy, 100% of us are going to be crushed. Our children are witnessing the demise of our Constitution and Bill of Rights already.

All of our children should watch the videos of the 15 minute cities in China, and then tell us how to vote. There is only one standing in WEF's way.

  • Federal Reserve: The US central bank, the Federal Reserve, owns about a third of the debt held domestically. The Fed buys and sells Treasury securities to influence interest rates and the money supply.
  • Foreign official accounts: These accounts, which are mostly central banks, own 50% of the foreign-held debt.
  • Foreign private investors: These investors own the other 50% of the foreign-held debt.
  • US private investors: These investors, including banks, mutual funds, insurance companies, and pension funds, own 15% of the debt.
  • US state and local governments: These governments own 13% of the debt.
  • Federal accounts: These accounts hold 28% of the debt. This is money that the Treasury borrows from itself, such as from Social Security to fund other government spending.
The US government has been borrowing money to pay for a budget deficit, which occurs when spending exceeds revenue

As long as the corrupt DNC/RNC duopoly corporations exist there will always be half(roughly) of the voting constituency that are not happy.

Ayup. We won't last much longer like this. Neither major party wants to lead. All they have is fear mongering.

The Uber rich will get much richer and the rest will be told they need to go to work for the nation's best interest.

More disappointed if Kamalula Harris wins

Heaven forbid.

The country will continue to get more polarized, no matter who wins, we will still be logged in here at USMB going at each others throats.

It will be like normal.

Yet still disappointed, eh? If Trump and Harris are the best we can do, we should just close up shop.

I don't agree,

Not disappointed at all if Trump wins

In fact it will be a time for celebration!

JD Vance would make a good president IMO
I can't get a read on him. He's stroking Trump's ego, like they all are - kissing the ring, going along with the conspiracy lunacy and MAGA horseshit. But maybe he's just faking it to get a foot in the door. We'll see.

I listened to him on Rogan. Didn’t hear any of what you just alluded to
