Either way half the country will be disappointed

I listened to him on Rogan. Didn’t hear any of what you just alluded to
We'll see. We need someone like Reagan. I don't think he was a great President, in the end, but he at least had some ability to make the case for limited government and conservative values - without utterly offending people.

Not all liberals are idiots. Some of them know that the woke crap has run its course, that the we-know-betterism is no way to lead. And they'll listen.

Not all but way too many

I like Vance and he is next in line after Trump

Right and if the prior regime is voted out and the new regime isn’t sworn in, then who serves? Speaker?
Well, if no one is sworn in yet, I assume Biden would still be the nominal President, and they'd swear in Vance instead. But I've never read anything that addressed that circumstance.

It will be interesting how the country progresses post the 2024 election. The country is highly polarized and deeply angry. The economy has resulted in a lower savings rate and record credit card debt. The healthcare system has declined notably and global conflicts are threatening WW3.

I am very worried for my kids. Regardless who wins. Is there hope for a happier outcome?
It’s not the disappointed ones you need to worry about. It’s the truly pissed if one’s. The disgruntled ones who think the election was stolen or that someone cheated or something like that. Those are the ones (on both sides) to watch out for.

My worry is that NYC will descend into Chaos Tuesday Night/Wednesday morning.

It's certainly possible. All bets are off on this election.

My real worry is they will be coherent enough to find the "red" areas of the outer boroughs and target them, as opposed to just destroying more well known areas like Tompkins Square park and other open spaces.

Tell your kids to learn chinese and spanish

If they want a job they will have to speak at least one of the new dominant languages

A win for Kamala means more war, higher food and gas prices and more chaos at the southern border.

Open your fucking EYES, people. If KH wins, no Republican will win for at least a generation! If KH wins, she and her fellow travelers in Congress will create a "path to citizenship" for the thirty million or so people currently in the country illegally, and by 2028, enough of them will be voting in Swing States to result in Democrat landslides for as far as the eye can see.

I suspect the Lefties on this board and elsewhere are aware of the stakes; if you are not aware, you are a fool. Every other "issue" in this race pales in comparison to immigration and naturalization.

Same

You got my curiosity peaked

The topic of this thread is really important, in my view. I think it's the number one problem facing our country. We no longer even try to govern from consensus. The name of the game now is to get a "win", however you can, and slam your agenda home.

"Elections have consequences" ? <- Fuck that. An election victory shouldn't mean revenge time for the winner, but that's the way our "two-parties" roll.

JD Vance would make a good president IMO

JD Vance is a player. He's set himself up to be the 2028 Republican nominee no matter what else happens.

Now that he's proven himself to be the darling of the far right, expect him to swing to the center once he gets the nomination.
