When you were a good Republican.except I served this country and unlike you, didn't have to be drafted.
So there's that.
When you were a good Republican.
I definitely was drafted. Got very high-test scores on all of my Army tests so they gave me some great jobs.
None at all.
Frankly, I don't give a shit about the Olympics or sports in general. But if she can make some money, and the American team didn't pick her, then why not?
Means she can compete for either side if the rules allow itAnd here we have YET ANOTHER attempt at broad brushing. Eileen Gu has an American Father and Chinese Mother and was born and raised in the US.
This is not a "birthright citizenship" issue. She is undeniably a US citizen and as I said, I think it's fine and dandy she took the millions from China to compete for them. As long as she PAYS HER TAXES. Something tells me she will hire the best tax lawyer in California and fight the windfall profits tax tooth and nail.Means she can compete for either side if the rules allow it
Many Olympic athletes who were born here compete for other nations
There are many foreign athletes that come to this country to make money in their sports, NBA,NHL, MLS, MLB, lots of others as well, plus the US has better facilities and more advanced technology in sports to help train athletes to improve in their sports. So foreign born athletes living in the United States is common.Who cares about a Chinese athlete?
Alysa Liu is the honourable athlete, her dad escaped the communists in China and when she won he wrapped himself in the flag. THAT is what Americans should want, not some one who represents another nation.
Does she live in China? If not, why not? That would be the epitome of hypocrisy worthy of being mocked.

Unlike the era of Jim Thorpe, Olympians make no attempt to remain amateurs. They follow the money. From what I understand her mother was Chinese and they paid her $7 million. Surely MAGA can understand that.
Means she can compete for either side if the rules allow it
Many Olympic athletes who were born here compete for other nations
His father is American. Named Duplantis.Armond Duplantis is the greatest pole vaulter in history
He holds the world record at 20 ft 8 in
He was born in Louisiana and lived there most of his life. HIs father is American and mother is Swedish
He was raised in Louisiana, graduated HS there and went to LSU
He has won two Gold Medals for SWEDEN
I don’t see JD Vance attacking his patriotism.

Where her mother was born and livesOppressive communist nations?
Where her mother was born and lives
Gu spent time there growing up and speaks fluent Chinese
She did it for millions of dollars
Can’t get more Capitalist than that
I think you're a little misinformed. You are playing HEY LOOK OVER THERE! again, Fridge. Here is the REAL issue with Eileen Gu competing for China. She does not have dual citizenship with China, she has LEGAL US citizenship and has lived every minute of her life in America. China is paying her $6.6 million to compete as a Chinese athlete. I'm not surprised the Olympic committee allowed it as they are another Left Wing anti-American organization. That said I think it's GREAT she competed for China as it brings in $2.5 million in tax revenue to the US, assuming she doesn't cheat on her taxes.
Yes I know the history, but she was born and raised here and enjoyed all of the privileges of going to our school system, and enjoying the fruits of a free capitalist society.
I don't agree with your last comment, in that it's one thing to be an American in business and collecting Chinese dollars, millions of Americans are doing that, but it's another thing to don their uniforms and compete for a communist nation against the country that has given her so much.
In my book the only thing for her to do now, is to PERMANENTLY leave the U.S. and live in China.
Which is your book. Her book is one where she's American and Chinese, because she is both of those. It doesn't have to be a "you're either with us, or against us" nonsense.
Also, China is hardly Communist.
