Egg Prices fall to pre-pandemic prices - Thanks Joe!!

Well, I remember a bit over a year ago when Russia invaded Ukraine, gas prices went up to around 4.50/gal here in Newberry SC, but then they started dropping, and went all the way down to 2.74/gal, but then a few months ago they started inching back up, but have managed to keep hovering somewhere between 2.95/gal and 3.15/gal.

The week Trump left office, national gas price average was 2.38.

Yeah, gas is more expensive today than what it was over 2 years ago, but it's not the extreme price hike that you conservatives are still screaming about.

Current gas prices in Newberry today are 3.06, and if you were to go to Columbia (35 miles south, which is a much larger city and their gas is always cheaper) it's running around 2.83/gal. Don't believe me? You can Google the gas prices yourself and see.

Did Trump have an Ukraine/Russian war?

Glad you asked. We can thank Biden for that war; hell, he even gave Putin the go-ahead when he said a small incursion wouldn't be a problem. Weakness begets weakness, and that is Biden.

“It’s one thing if it’s a minor incursion, and then we end up having a fight about what to do and not do, et cetera.

He gave the go-ahead for the war and yet here we are more than a year later.

Sure.

Biden is responsible for controlling world oil prices (where diesel comes from), as well as has the ability to prevent chickens from catching diseases? Who knew he was such a powerful being?

So maybe you can explain why dems are shutting down farms all over the country and the Dutch Gov is shutting down all their farms?
A friend of the Wifes at work has a small farm and the gov asked her what she was growing and how much.
Do you think that normal?

Biden’s unshakeable support for capitalism and free markets has led to lowest wholesale prices in years. It’s win after win after win with this guy. If you blamed Joe for the high prices you should be praising him for the low prices. God bless Diamond Joe!

As of last week, Midwest large eggs — the benchmark for eggs sold in their shells — cost just $0.94 per dozen in the wholesale market, according to Urner Barry, an independent price reporting agency. That’s a sharp fall from $5.46 per carton just six months ago. (In retail, prices are well above $1 per carton, though they too have been declining.)

Why the decline? It’s because of a reversal of supply-demand trends that caused prices to spike in the first place.

Wholesale prices are typically more volatile than retail prices. That’s because supermarkets and grocery stores set retail egg prices, and they don’t want customers to be scared away by wild swings. So prices in the grocery store don’t immediately follow wholesale trends.

“Just because wholesale prices go lower, it doesn’t necessarily mean retailers will lower their prices,” said Earnest. “So the consumer is still subject to a higher price point. And it’ll take a while for that to get shaken out.”
That’s it?

Eggs are more affordable?

Who gives a crap, that’s some kind of miracle now?

They feed you crap 24/7 and you lap it up like it’s golden, when do you “think” instead of reacting with pure emotion?

Total lie.

A dozen eggs are $2.50 at my grocery store right now.

Gas is still $5 a gallon here too. Wake us up when it is back down to $2.00.

Good to see you've kept your sense of humor!

Jesus you guys are butt hurt. How about a simple “thank you Joe” and go buy eggs?
Because for anybody to say that and actually believe is to demonstrate a very simple brain that has no comprehension of the facts and how markets operate . But in fairness there are few with such low level talent who are prepared to publicly make themselves look so ignorant .

Amazing how people not buying stuff lowers prices. Just more evidence these prices increases are just scams, and no real shortages existed.
