I'm curious to know on the US views about the recent recession and the economic crisis.

Has the recent recession happening around affects your spending behavior?

Will you be more caution in spending money on luxury stuff or put aside some money for emergency use?

A continued rise in food, gas, and energy prices combined with a rise in interest rates should derail any economic recovery for the next couple of years, at the least; so, yes, it should result in caution on spending money on luxury stuff and will even prohibit some from putting money aside for emergency use.
