The top 80 richest men have more than the bottom 3 1/2 billion--- this is heartdead sick.
Balance is the only way anything works properly. You 80 need to learn to love God and your fellow man before its too late( that is really close for you)

I never made a vow of poverty--I just don't seek after riches--I do work to pay my way.

I bet you're one of those who honestly thinks the passage reads, "Money is the root of all evil........."

No its the love of money that is the root of all sorts of injurious things. Those who spend a lot of time pursuing money--did not listen to Jesus.

Equality is okay in and of itself.

But when it becomes an overarching ideology like it has obviously become for you, and is so in direct opposition to what we know has worked in America (the exceptional country it is...but NOT for the reasons you might think) equality becomes toxic.

And your level of passion about this is a symptom of your malady.

I was watching a rerun of liberal comedian Louis C.K.'s series, "Louie" last night on Netflix (Season 2/Ep. 01) where his youngest daughter is upset because she didn't get a mango pop like her older sister and Louis tries explaining to her that life isn't fair the way the child thinks it should be.

Gods word teaches money is for a protection as well---- not pursuing riches, but enough to get by and a little put away for emergencies. I know exactly what Gods word teaches--you don't obviously-- Jesus taught to seek first the kingdom and his( YHWH(Jehovah) righteousness and all these other things will be added( sustenance, covering, spirituality)Jesus taught thios assuring his followers the pursuit of money wouldnt be needed if one did these two things first, because the 3 things mentioned is all a mortal needs to survive. ( how else can one become a fisher of men? All of Jesus' true followers are.

The problem, what you are obviously missing, is not all of us pursue (monetary) riches for (monetary) riches sake...... Although what is defined by "pursue" isn't what you are defining. That's the problem when you make uninformed, closed minded statements.
I highly recommend a course of study in the ancient Hebrew and Greek not to mention the modern American vernacular, definitions and adaptations.

And? how does it change the issue that for the mere mortals who have to go through this part of their destiny it is much easier to go through in the capitalist system than in the socialist one? ( I am not talking about rewards in afterlife, just simplicity of earthly living)
