This is a sports-culture parable (my last one, I'm certain) inspired by Jerry Maguire.

Cheers,

Two society cheerleaders, an American movie-star (Tom Cruise) and an anti-ISIS Internet-blogger (Ajay Satan), were both very psyched for Super Bowl 52 [2018] but for very different reasons. Cruise wanted his favorite team, the Goliath-like New England Patriots, to win their whopping 6th Super Bowl title. Ajay wanted his favorite team, the supreme-underdog team the Philadelphia Eagles, to win their very 1st Super Bowl title. Of course, most Americans and sports-writers were rooting for and picking the Tom Brady led Patriots to win. The Eagles were valiantly trying to win with their backup-QB Nick Foles! Cruise and Ajay were polar opposites, though they both loved democracy and the NFL.

Cruise decided to say in a press-interview that he thought it'd be nothing short of crazy to cheer for the underdog Eagles in the Super Bowl, since Nick Foles would have a herculean task taking down the machine-like Tom Brady. When Ajay read the interview-statement, he realized that his gung-ho approach in cheering like crazy for the Eagles would make him some kind of 'social eccentric' (and maybe even a fanfare-outcast!). Ajay decided to move shop and continue cheering for the Eagles...in Canada(!). Canada had always been a neutral (politically) nation and hence was somehow 'immune' from all the media and marketing hoopla associated with American athletics.

Now that Ajay was in Canada, he felt much more comfortable blogging on the Internet about why the underdog Eagles deserved to win their 1st Super Bowl trophy. Ajay suggested that watching a backup-QB (Nick Foles) win the Eagles' first Vince Lombardi trophy is exactly what sports-fans (who should be nothing short of 'bored' with watching the Patriots win over and over and over again) needed. Ajay continued to wonder, however, what Tom Cruise was saying in the press about the sheer certainty that Brady's Patriots would (and should!) win...yet again. At the very least, Ajay felt much 'safer' making eagle-and-Canadian-flag pics on his computer (for his pro-democracy blogs)...in the 'nice' country of Canada!

GO EAGLES!!!

Eagles going to rally, put on a good show, then sputter, falter, trip over their own feet and get clobbered by Brady before they know what hit them. Eagle fans don't deserve a Super Bowl Championship.
