I agree, but it sure looks like that's the direction we're going. These people have the "freedom" to think this is all fake news and/or big conspiracy, many of them will die for that belief, and they're going to take some others with them. We've failed as a society to protect ourselves, so now we just have to be as careful as we can as it plays itself out. Ultimately, between infections and vaccinations, we'll get past this, as long as medical science can deal effectively with the upcoming variants.

This appears to be the best we can do in our current condition.
