Drones

IAF has been using drones since 1982. Azerbaijan used our drones effectivly recently as well as Turkish drones. intelligent. Why risk the lives of pilots when remote controlled drones do the job. www.youtube.com/watch?v=KDmDi_QN3kE

In Foreign Policy magazine about 10 years ago there was a lengthy article about drones from a member of the U.S. military who was considered an expert on them. He said (direct quote),

"In a real war, drones would be falling out of the sky like confetti"

In 1982 our drones were shot down but not before they sent back what wavelength the Syrian antiaircraft radar used. So our pilots were able to jam their radar and destroy 23 SA6s without losing a pilot.

...there have been a lot of times with a lot of weapons that they said they were obsolete/etc-- but they were proven not to be.....
..well, the MQ9 drone payload is only 3800 lbs.....A10 = 16,000 lbs ....so there's a huge difference there
